“ This spot is truly a gem in the upper east side. Authentically good food with great staff and so many options to choose from. The wait staff was so attentive and the owner was so charismatic and funny. Made us feel so welcome and happy to be there! The gnocchi was incredible and we will definitely be back to try more of the delicious apps. Not sure what these negative reviews are talking about, it was everything we were hoping it to be. ”
“ Authentic Italian food in a neighborhood setting. We went to Nica Trattoria after a long day at the MET. It was about a 15 minute walk, and we had reservations for 5:30pm. We were the first patrons there, and the owner joined at our table and walked us through their extensive menu. We settled on the barata and filet medallions as appetizers. My son had the pasta and meat sauce, my daughter had the pesto gnocci, my wife had the swordfish, and I had the veal saltimboca. All if our entees were cooked to perfection and were derived hot from the oven and straight from the table. Everything was delicious, and we sampled liberally from one another's plates. We were full at the end of the meal, so we did not order any desserts. The bill was 270 (including tip) for two appetizers, four entrees, two bottles of sparkling water, and one glass of wine. Nica Trattoria is cash only. The food was excellent and you get what you pay for. I will definitely go back. ”
